Importing furniture is a very complicated art and we like to ask for your cooperation and patience as we will explain the process. Every piece is coming a very long way from Germany via trucking companies, ocean freight containers, going through customs, and further via rail roads, and national trucking companies to arrive here at our Warehouse in Colorado Springs. It is understandable that we cannot ship each single order directly from Germany due to high shipping cost. Just one single palette costs $1500 dollars plus brokerage fees from Germany. Not to mention that a palette does not provide much protection for the shipment. Only a shipping container will protect furniture sufficiently. As a result we need to fill a shipping container with several orders; to make this process cost effective and safe for your furniture order. A full container usually comprises 25 to 35 orders, and you may have to wait until enough orders are in. Overall you may experience waiting of 4-5 month, considering the processing and transportation aspect, including customs. Contract: We will write up a sales contract for each order once we know approximately when a shipment is ready to leave Germany. This contract will indicate price, delivery terms and times, and warranty information. This is the time when we require a 50% down payment, to secure your order. The remainder is due after the shipment has arrived from Germany in our Colorado warehouse. We will provide you with tracking information when it leaves from our location via one of the national freight carriers (most likely Roadway Freight). Warranty: We rarely experience damages in shipments. Most of the time furniture repair kids are sufficient to repair minor scratches and chips. Our products are warranted for local restoration work, if the cost does not exceed 10% of the sales price. Otherwise your broken piece (if you do have any) shall be replaced with our next container.
